Russian forces use Orlan-10 drones in Ukraine

The Russian Defense Ministry's Zvezda TV channel announced that the armed forces began using the Orlan-10 multifunctional aircraft to deliver strikes with high-explosive and fragmentation ammunition against Ukrainian light armored vehicles.

The channel said today, "The Russian soldiers used for the first time during the special operation the latest modification of the drone, which can deliver high-precision strikes to targets on the ground and bombard military equipment with high-explosive and fragmentation ammunition from heights of more than 2 km."

The channel indicated that the plane carries full ammunition in four closed containers suspended under the wings, with a range of 110 kilometers.

Orlan 10 is a multifunctional Russian unmanned system designed for remote flight control over land and water surfaces, day and night detection of targets in normal and complex climatic conditions, and is capable of detecting and identifying GSM base stations and cellular communication networks.
