SEK mission in Nuremberg: Missing reacts aggressively to police patrols

Because he was considered missing, a patrol from the Nuremberg police made their way to the apartment of a 32-year-old on Seeeinbühlstrasse in north-western Nuremberg.

Officers arrived at the scene around 11:45 a.m.

"They wanted to see him," said a police spokeswoman after the operation.

The wanted man was also on site, but reacted aggressively to the police officers.

Among other things, he threatened her.

The patrol then withdrew and called for reinforcements.

This arrived at the site shortly afterwards in the form of the SEK and a negotiating force.

To protect residents, the area around the man's home was cordoned off.

However, the spokeswoman later confirmed that there was never any danger to the residents.

The officers of the negotiating force began talking to the man and after a while were able to get him to leave his home.

The SEK immediately arrested the 32-year-old.

It was not initially clear whether he was armed.

By 2 p.m., the operation had ended.
