Shots were fired in Milbertshofen on Wednesday evening: a 24-year-old suffered a leg injury.

The police are looking for witnesses because the crime is a mystery.

Munich – The day after, a barrier tape flutters over Keferloherstrasse, several police cars are on site.

Passers-by are unsettled, many have not even noticed that shots were fired here on Wednesday evening.

"It gives you a bad feeling," says a neighbor.

Because it is not the first time that there has been violence in Milbertshofen.

A mother whose 13-year-old son goes to school there is also shocked: "Of course you worry, especially when the children are going through puberty."

Shots in Milbertshofen: Munich police question 32-year-olds

Around 9 p.m. on Wednesday, local residents reported around three to five shots.

More than 30 stripes went out.

On the sidewalk at the bus stop on Schleissheimer Strasse, officers noticed a 24-year-old with a gunshot wound in the leg.

"We don't know whether it was a targeted shot or a ricochet," says a police spokesman.

The police found cartridge parts on site, which are now being forensically examined.

There are many unanswered questions - because the injured man, a Munich resident from another area of ​​the city, is not very willing to provide information.

He came to a clinic.

A patrol noticed a Mercedes that had moved away from the crime scene in the evening.

Police officers later discovered the parked car on Schopenhauerstrasse.

When a 32-year-old approached the vehicle, they asked him to stop – but the man walked away.

Only after a police officer fired a warning shot into a green area did he stop.

After an interrogation, the man from Munich, who comes from another district in the north, was released.

According to the police, there was initially no suspicion.

Shots in Milbertshofen: Was it a failed drug deal?

Because both men are known for drug-related crimes, the police considered whether it could be a failed drug deal.

"But a connection has not been confirmed in the interrogations so far," said the police spokesman.

It is not yet known whether the two men are in a relationship.

A connection with the gang dispute and the stabbing at Korbinianplatz, in which an 18-year-old died in March, could not be determined.

In the current incident, the police are investigating because of dangerous bodily harm.
