Germering – The Germering Museum Association has planned a special attraction for Sunday, May 15th.
The group "Nors Farandi" - founded by a former citizen of Germeringen - is a guest in the town hall park, presenting handicrafts from that time in self-made medieval robes.
From
10 a.m. to 5 p.m.,
textile techniques, ceramic and glass bead production and bronze casting will be shown live.
During the performances, members of the group answer questions from the audience and provide further information on life, nutrition and work in the Middle Ages.

"Time and Space" is also open on this day
from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
and offers
tours
through the permanent exhibition at 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., where finds from the early history of Germering to the present day can be admired.
Books and publications on the history of the city can also be viewed and purchased in the museum.
Admission is free, but the association welcomes donations.
General meeting - new board elected
The focus of the recently held
general
meeting of the
Förderverein Stadtmuseum Germering
was the election of the new board.
The new
chairman is Wolfgang Andre
, Professor Dr.
Ludwig von Meyer in office.
However, von Meyer continues to support the association as a deputy.
Stefanie Ilgen remains the second deputy.
Cordula Ankenbrand was elected as the new treasurer, who will continue the work of Alfred Lödler.
Lödler will be an assessor in the future.
Sylvia Doll was confirmed in office as secretary of the association.
Assessors are Dr.
Günter Zeidler, Hans Christian Wagner, Freddy Hilt, Uli Steinbach and Elvira Adler.

In his
review
, Professor von Meyer reported on the two years shaped by Corona and stated that the association now has 153 members.
18 had left the club during this period, but 22 new ones had joined.
Irmgard Köhler-Langewiesche and Lödler were awarded
honorary membership
for their many years of service since the founding of the association and both received a bouquet of flowers, as did Professor von Meyer for his five years of committed work as chairman of the association.
