The Syrian Ambassador to Belarus, Muhammad Al-Amrani, and Natalia Kachanova, President of the Republic Council in the Belarusian National Assembly, reviewed all aspects of Syrian-Belarusian relations, including parliamentary relations.

The two sides affirmed the desire and interest of the two friendly countries to move forward in strengthening and developing these historical relations in light of the current difficult geopolitical situation in the world and in the face of pressures, sanctions and attempts of external interference in the internal affairs of the two countries and based on the factors of trust and partnership that bind both countries and the two friendly peoples.

The Syrian ambassador congratulated the Belarusian people on the occasion of the anniversary of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War, pointing to Syria's desire to strengthen its relations with friendly Belarus in various fields, including in the parliamentary field.

Ambassador Al-Omrani expressed Syria’s great appreciation for the Belarusian positions in solidarity with Syria in the face of what it has been subjected to and continues to be of of terrorism, sanctions and unjust unilateral measures, as well as appreciation for the humanitarian aid and initiatives of Belarus towards Syria, stressing at the same time that Syria stands by Belarus in the face of attempts of external interference in its internal affairs He refused the sanctions and measures imposed on them.

For her part, the President of the Council of the Republic indicated that Syria has always been and remains a reliable partner for Belarus in the Middle East, and this is due to the great interaction of the two countries and the good relations between them during the past years, whether at the level of the two presidents or at the level of the two friendly peoples, stressing the importance of continuing to strengthen these relations and implement the numerous agreements. between the two countries, expressing Belarus' readiness and openness to cooperation with Syria in all fields.

Kachanova pointed out that the leadership and people of Belarus have always supported the Syrian people in their efforts to preserve the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, noting that her country is currently under pressure from Western countries sanctions, which requires the two countries to work and cooperate together to stand up to destructive policies and attempts to interfere in their internal affairs.
