Mobilized on the Ukrainian file and probably judging, following Cardinal de Retz, that one can only get out of ambiguity to his detriment, Emmanuel Macron was re-elected more on his person than on his project.
And it was not his inauguration speech last Saturday that clarified things a lot.
He affirmed with conviction that he wanted
to “act relentlessly with a goal, that of being a more independent nation, of living better and of building our French and European responses to the challenges of our century”.
