Lung air sacs burst

At that time, the ambulanceman said that although the little heron was weak in one leg and wing, she believed that after the medical staff rescued and recovered, it might still be able to return to the wild life. The little heron was later sent to the Kadoorie Farm and Botanical Garden for treatment.

However, on the 11th, Liu received a notice from the veterinarian, saying that the injury was actually very serious when he received the little heron that day. He noticed that the more swollen part of the body was caused by the rupture of the air sacs surrounding the lungs, and the little heron was in recent days. His physical condition deteriorated day by day, and he passed away unfortunately on the evening of the 10th.

Liu Yongwei pointed out that although the little heron bird did not survive in the end.

However, I would like to thank all the photography enthusiasts who were present that day for their notification, and Kadoorie Farm and Botanical Garden for their meticulous care for the little egrets. I also appeal to the neighbors to contact him as soon as possible, or call 1823 if they find a similar fall and injury to the egret. , Kadoorie Farm or the Society for the Protection of Animals, etc., so that the injured egrets can get timely rescue as soon as possible.
