Three agents of the Civil Guard and an official of the Tax Agency have been arrested in the port of Algeciras (Cádiz), in the framework of an operation against drug trafficking and money laundering in the Strait of Gibraltar.
The arrests occurred last Wednesday in the course of a joint operation by the Civil Guard and the National Police in which arrests were made at other points in Campo de Gibraltar and the Costa del Sol.
Presumably, the detained agents provided information to facilitate the activity of an organization dedicated to drug trafficking in the Strait.
The proceedings are under summary secrecy, so the number of detainees has not yet been disclosed or whether there has been the intervention of narcotic substances or illicit money.
