During the war of aggression against Ukraine, Russian soldiers killed thousands of civilians.

Another case has now come to light: video footage from a surveillance camera released by the BBC and CNN apparently shows Russian soldiers shooting two unarmed Ukrainians.

Ukraine investigates war crimes.

The recordings are from March 16th.

They show several Russians arriving in a van at the gate of a car dealership near Kyiv, smeared with the V sign used by the Russian armed forces.

Wearing Russian military uniforms, they approach, guns raised, fingers on the trigger.

A 65-year-old security guard named Leonid Pliats approaches the soldiers with his hands raised to show he is unarmed and poses no threat.

Both sides talk, even smoke together.

Then the Russians withdraw again, the security guard turns around.

Later, the soldiers come back and shoot the guard and his boss in the back.

While the boss dies immediately, security guard Pliats drags himself into an office and can call a friend there.

He is said to have told his friend that the Russians had told him they would not kill civilians - and then shot him anyway.

“You killed a 65-year-old.

For what reason?"

The Russians then forced their way into the premises, drank schnapps and plundered.

The face of one of the soldiers is clearly visible on the cameras.

It takes a while before the soldiers realize they are being filmed and destroy the security cameras.

'My father wasn't a soldier at all.

He was a pensioner.

You killed a 65 year old.

Pliat's daughter, Julia Androshchuk, told the BBC.

She hopes that the crime against her father can be solved at some point.

By then, she wants people to know what happened to her father.
