A highlight of the past year, this photovoltaic movement developed in-house by Cartier continues to be a landmark, both in the sector and in stores with customers.
In the line of sight, the iconic and square design of the 1917 Tank watch, revised and corrected on the movement side by a rechargeable battery, powered by a series of panels on the dial.
It only remains to wait before knowing if the house intends to apply this patent to other timepieces for the brand.

Another pioneer of solar energy, the Japanese Seiko is offering two variations on the same theme this season.
