Markus Söder was a guest on a podcast.

On the subject of climate, he could not resist a dig at his counterpart Winfried Kretschmann.

Munich - From Bavaria for Bavaria.

That is the motto of Carolin Neumeyer and Maria Hörtrich and their joint Regensburg podcast "Narrisch und Wuid".

In the audio format, the two therefore only receive guests from the Free State in order to generate a Bavarian community in which one can network with one another.

In their most recent episode, the women originally from Garmisch-Partenkirchen were allowed to receive a particularly high-ranking elected official from Bavaria.

None other than Prime Minister Markus Söder did the honor and sat down for about half an hour to chat with the two in the State Chancellery in Munich.

Söder on the podcast "Narrisch und Wuid": The conversation revolves around the topic of climate, among other things

In addition to numerous stories about his political career, there were also some thematic focal points - such as housing and the climate.

On the latter point, Neumeyer and Hörtrich wanted to know from Söder how Bavaria intends to become climate-neutral by 2040.

Söder made it clear in advance: "For everyone who doesn't know, Bavaria already has the best climate balance in Germany." However, he apparently could not resist a small dig at his fellow Prime Minister from Baden-Württemberg, Winfried Kretschmann .

Söder guest on podcast: dig at Winfried Kretschmann?

"We are number one everywhere in renewable energies, except for wind, where we are in 8th place," explained Söder.

“In front of Baden-Württemberg, by the way.

And just a note, Bavaria has a CSU Prime Minister and Baden-Württemberg has a Green Party.

So it must have a different reason than the party.”

The fans of the two podcasters were apparently enthusiastic about the ratchet with Markus Söder.

On Instagram, a user writes about a video of the visit: "Hamma girls!

YES.” Another says: “So blatantly man.” And the prime minister himself?

He said "thank you for the invitation".

The Prime Minister often attracts attention with his food postings on Instagram.

A follower recently asked him for a date.
