Because the local ice stadium is closed for renovation work, the Peitinger Stockschützen have to play their home games in Bad Wörishofen.

The Bundesliga club is angry.

Peiting – This year's Bundesliga summer season is proving to be somewhat difficult for the Peitinger Stockschützen.

After Surheim withdrew, the field of competitors in Group C, in which the Moarschaft of TSV Peiting was drawn, initially shrank to three.

Then came the EC EBRA Aitershofen, which had initially lost its starting place to Kühbach by a court decision.

The trigger was a dispute about who would be the successor for the EC Grub, which announced its withdrawal in February.

The clarification of this question by a civil court led to the entire department head of ice stock sport resigning because they felt betrayed by the BEV executive committee.

Irrespective of the quarrels within the association, there was also thick air in Peiting.

The background is the renovation work in the ice stadium, which made it necessary to close the hall in summer.

As a result, the TSV Stockschützen were forced to look for an alternative venue, which turned out to be not easy.

After some confusion, in which, among other things, the empty Feneberg branch was considered as an alternative venue, the people from Peiting finally ended up playing their home games in Bad Wörishofen.

Christian Lindner misses appreciation for the stick shooters in town.

Stock shooters complain about a lack of support and a lack of honor for the medal winners

Christian Lindner from the Stockschützen had previously clearly complained about the lack of appreciation for his athletes in the village.

"Our sport is not recognized in Peiting, there are many examples of that," rumbled Lindner, who also criticized the market builder.

"The information from Mr. Kreitl was simply wrong, that the Feneberg market is empty," complained Lindner that the idea was of little use apart from a rejection by the company management.

In addition to the lack of support in clarifying the hall issue, Lindner also complained that the medal winners from the last World Championships in South Tyrol were not honored.

"The community didn't congratulate our athletes on the nine World Cup medals," Lindner said angrily.

Mayor denies allegations

Peiting's mayor Peter Ostenrieder contradicted the allegations in the clearest possible way.

"I haven't received any complaints personally.

At the ice rink, everyone involved was informed that due to the general renovation, the hall would not be available for any other purpose during the summer months and individual awards for athletes are not usual.

The appreciation takes place at the annual athletes' ceremony," explained the mayor in a detailed statement, in which he also addressed the topic of alternative accommodation.

"During the meeting, it was suggested to switch to vacant properties in the village such as the Feneberg or to sports facilities in the neighboring villages such as the ice rink in Schongau or Peißenberg and to ask there." If someone then cancels, you can hardly blame the municipality,

Town hall chief Peter Ostenrieder rejects the allegations from the TSV department.

The TSV stock athletes will be playing their home games in Bad Wörishofen this summer.

"We are very grateful that the company Schneider from Peiting transported our material there free of charge," reports Lindner, whose team is challenged on Saturday (4 p.m.) in the Allgäu spa town against EC-DJK Aigen am Inn.
