The MDA hotline in Sharon received a report this afternoon (Saturday) of a young man (33) who was bitten by a snake on Metula Street in Netanya.
Upon receiving the call, MDA medics and paramedics rushed to the scene, provided the wounded with medical treatment and evacuated him to Niado Hospital.
The condition of the trapped person at the time of evacuation was difficult and unstable.
The bruising marks were prominent and the man suffered a symptomatic reaction.
MDA paramedic Orian Lukacs, who arrived at the scene to treat the wounded, said: "We saw a 33-year-old man in the yard of a house in full consciousness, with signs of snakebite in his foot.
"We gave him life-saving medical care," she said.
"On the way to the hospital we reported to the trauma room, where they waited for us with the serum to stabilize his condition."
According to initial estimates, the biting snake is a viper.
