The Russian ambassador in Washington, Anatoly Antonov, described the actions of the American intelligence services with Russian diplomats in the United States as “disgusting,” noting that they were subjected to threats.
And the website of Russia Today channel quoted Antonov as saying that "our embassy operates in a hostile environment... Every day anti-Russian actions occur near our diplomatic mission and there are riots and acts of sabotage as the embassy staff receive threats, including physical threats," noting that US intelligence officials "walk around the Russian Embassy” and trying to distribute contact phone numbers of the FBI and CIA.
Antonov pointed out that mail messages were sent to the mobile phones of Russian diplomats, including the addresses of the security services, indicating that this act "is considered disgusting in any country."
