At about 11 am today (14th), an old man at Lido Beach in Ting Kau suddenly felt unwell while swimming. He held a floating wave line 20 meters offshore and called for help. The lifeguards rushed to the rescue and brought the old man ashore.
It is understood that the old man needed to take blood pressure-lowering drugs for a long time. He felt dizzy and had chest pains at the time. He suspected a heart attack and could not return to shore on his own. Fortunately, he was rescued in time.
After a short rest in the ambulance station, he was fine and did not need to be sent to the hospital.
The old man hugged the buoy line and called for rescue.
