A solar park is to be built in Arget.

The city council has now designated a special area for this purpose.

An investor wants to take care of the implementation.

Sauerlach

– The municipality of Sauerlach obtains building rights for a large open-space photovoltaic system on an area near Lochhofen.

The municipal council has now unanimously decided to change the land use plan in such a way that a solar park can be built on properties in the district of Arget, which are east of Otterfinger Weg and north of the sports grounds of SV Arget.

Project-related development plan is drawn up

At the same time, the committee voted to draw up a project-related development plan called "Solarfeld Arget Ost" and to designate a special photovoltaics area for the construction area.

An investor recently asked the municipality whether a solar park could be built there and wanted to get the municipality on board as the operator.

In the meantime, the municipal administration has clarified a number of questions with the investor, for example what concerns the feed-in and who will bear the costs.

In this way, the investor will assume all costs associated with the planning.

Place on a renatured gravel pit

According to Mayor Barbara Bogner (UBV), the area intended for the solar park is a biotope-like compensation area, more precisely a renatured gravel pit.

Because there are several property owners, including the municipality, the talks would have been a bit more complex, explained Bogner.

In addition, several sections of the original three-hectare area were removed because they are ecologically valuable.

In the meantime, there is only an area of almost two hectares available on which photovoltaic modules can be set up at ground level in order to generate electricity from solar energy.

According to Jeanette Schaffert, head of the building authority, during the construction management process it cannot be ruled out that other areas will be considered by the lower nature conservation authority to be so worthy of protection

According to Bogner, while the municipality has decided to make its land available for the solar park, it is still completely open whether and in what form the municipality will also participate in the construction and operation of the system.

This will be discussed at the appropriate time, says the head of the town hall.
