The Donetsk People's Republic announced the evacuation of about 500 people from the city of Mariupol to the city of Bizymenoy in Donetsk during the past 24 hours.
"Over the past 24 hours, 491 people, including 63 children, were evacuated from Mariupol to Bizymenoy in the Novoazovsky region," the RIA Novosti news agency quoted the regional defense headquarters of the republic as saying in a statement today.
He pointed out that during the period from March 5 to today, 31,781 people were evacuated from Mariupol.
