At about 3:39 p.m. on Thursday (12th), detectives found a man entering the hotel room. The man left the room a few minutes later, and the detectives in ambush nearby came forward to reveal his identity and stopped the man.

Detectives seized 2 bricks of suspected heroin weighing 760 grams from the black reusable bag held by the man. Detectives took him to the hotel room for search with a search warrant.

There were two large suitcases on the bed of the hotel room. The suitcases were not locked. There were 60 bricks, 23.5 kilograms of heroin, and 26 bags of 27.5 kilograms of methamphetamine concealed in tea bags.

The police arrested the 21-year-old local man surnamed Chen for the crime of trafficking in dangerous drugs. He reported that he was unemployed and believed to have a triad background.

At about 6:43 p.m. on the same day, the detectives ambushing the hotel lobby found another 22-year-old man surnamed Li Target. The detectives stopped and arrested the man on the charge of trafficking in dangerous drugs. He reported that he was a car maintenance mechanic. , believed to have a triad background.

After investigation, the police believe that Li Nan, who was arrested, is the owner of the drug storage warehouse.

The two arrested men have been charged with one count of drug trafficking each, and the case will appear in Fanling Magistrates' Courts on May 16.

Police said the operation is still continuing and more arrests cannot be ruled out.
