Wolfratshausen/Geretsried – Mayors, city councilors and administrative staff from Geretsried and Wolfratshausen recently met at the Waldram primary and secondary school as part of a joint workshop.
There, essential points of the intermunicipal cooperation were discussed.
The aim is to upgrade the still existing middle center to a high-level center.
In this way, common interests such as the preservation and promotion of the Wolfratshausen district clinic could be represented even more sustainably.
Most of the participants also disliked the fact that the transfer and innovation center in the Oberland (Tizio) was being built in the district town of Bad Tölz and not in the northern district.
"We have to pull ourselves together," demanded Geretsried Mayor Michael Müller.
His Wolfratshausen counterpart, Klaus Heilinglechner, hopes that this will strengthen his negotiating position with higher-level authorities.
"Together we are strong," he said.
Previously, Götz Braun from the consulting firm Klimakom recalled the results of the two city council meetings in 2019 and 2020. Then as now, working groups were formed that proclaimed targets for various topics.
For example, Wolfratshausen's second mayor, Günther Eibl (CSU), called for greater emphasis on the district hospital's services.
This could be done, for example, in the respective town hall brochures of the municipalities.
The Geretsrieder city councilor Heidi Dodenhöft (free voters) and the Wolfratshausener Manfred Menke (SPD) want an intercommunal association for joint childcare and intercommunal cultural events.
Fritz buckler from the Wolfratshausen SPD hopes for a cooperation between the municipal utilities and the organization of a joint Sunday shopping.
The Geretsrieder FW city councilor Heiko Hawla spoke for the working group "Traffic and Mobility".
He suggested an expansion of the existing cycle path between the municipalities and a joint rental of electric bicycles.
At the end of the approximately four-hour workshop, all participants were satisfied.
"A few milestones were reached here today," praised Michael Müller.
