The Königsdorfer Alm is starting the season with a few innovations.
A PV system and charging station provide juice for cooling and e-bikes.
Königsdorf – You can hear Regina Schwaighofer's anticipation: next Saturday she and her husband Martin will start the new season as innkeepers at the Königsdorfer Alm.
And this year after a good two years of pandemic without any restrictions and conditions.
"No distance rules, no more masks," says the landlady.
The mask in particular was “terribly annoyed” by everyone.
People long for normality, she knows that from many conversations.
Among the guests, who are currently asking more questions, "the atmosphere is great".
This is one of the reasons why her entire team is “highly motivated”.
This year, the Alm crew will once again take care of the visitors with a full band.
According to Schwaighofer, this means: "All 25 employees are on board and, as always, the entire family helps."

Of course, this season does not start without innovations in Königsdorf.
The landlords have had a photovoltaic system installed, which makes the Almbetrieb more sustainable.
“We now produce our own electricity with battery storage.
We operate our entire cooling system with this,” says Regina Schwaighofer.
From now on, guests who come by e-bike no longer need to worry whether the battery will last for the way home.
A brand new charging station, compatible with the energy storage systems of all engine manufacturers, offers space for two wheels to draw juice at the same time.
The hosts reacted to increased inquiries from their guests.
"The e-bikes are becoming more and more common, with a normal bike you attract attention now," says Regine Schwaighofer and laughs.
Also new: chives and parsley for the spices from the alpine kitchen now come from the freshly planted herb garden.
And of course the Almwirte have thought of the children again: the children's playground was expanded "to include a climbing net and a horizontal bar for gymnastics".
The heavily restricted music program, which was only sporadic due to the pandemic, will become a fixed one again.
Music and brass bands regularly provide entertainment.
The beginning of this Sunday is the Waldram dance music.
“There will also be a fish stick,” announces Schwaighofer.
And more good news: In August, the legendary Bleiplattl tournament will finally be continued.
The Königsdorfer Alm is open on Saturdays from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sundays and public holidays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
