A Senate delegation led by Republican Leader Mitch McConnell met with Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in kyiv, the capital of the war-torn country.
The images of Saturday's meeting were published by the deputy head of the office of the Ukrainian president, Andrii Sybiha, on his Facebook page.
"They are the true friends of Ukraine ... today, our state has strong bipartisan support," he wrote.
A video posted on Zelenskyy's Telgram account shows McConnell and Republican Senators Susan Collins of Maine, John Barrasso of Wyoming and John Cornyn of Texas.
According to Sybiha's publication, the meeting discussed aid from the United States and sanctions against Russia for the invasion that began on February 24.
The visit comes as approval of $40 billion in additional aid to Ukraine is blocked in the Senate after Sen. Rand Paul, R-Kentucky, proposed adding a type of control to the bill to oversee how the money is spent.
