The Ministry of Communications and Technology clarified that the number of telephone service subscribers until the end of the first quarter of this year reached 2817026 subscribers with ADSL services through a messaging service provider, 1065235 subscribers.
The ministry indicated in a report published on its official Facebook page that the Syrian Telecom Company is currently working on implementing new projects to increase the number of ADSL gates and distribute them to most telephone centers in the governorates according to the expected demand plan for internet service and the centers' actual needs of gates.
The ministry stated in its report that the number of telephone centers distributed over the governorates is 735, a number of which have gone out of service due to terrorism crimes, and 356 centers remain in service, pointing out that the company's technical cadres were able to restore communications services to 86 of the affected centers, bringing the number of centers currently operating to 442. by phone.
In its report, the ministry confirmed that the rehabilitation of the affected centers and placing them in service was carried out with the efforts of the technical competencies and national expertise of its workers.
