Hundreds of people participated in the church of the Holy Trinity in Samarate (Varese) at the last farewell for Stefania Pivetta, 56, and her daughter Giulia, 16, killed by her husband and father Alessandro Maja, 57, at dawn on the 4th last May.

The white coffin for Giulia, the yellow flowers, the balloons, family and friends, schoolmates and teachers, silently arrived in the churchyard together with the mayor of Samarate Enrico Puricelli, the vice president of the Lombardy Region Francesca Brianza, and the president of the Provincia Emanuele Antonelli and the mayors of Ferno and Cassano Magnago, Filippo Gesualdi and Nicola Poliseno.

"She had a great desire to live, she was very attached to her children and also to her husband", said Stefania's cousin before the start of the funeral ceremony, "there are no words for what happened".

"We must be afraid of ourselves. Why did evil go so deep into the family environment and you didn't stop her hand?", Said the parish priest of Samarate Don Nicola Ippolito.

"We have no answers, but we are clinging to that cross, which is not the last act, because we know that Christ is risen and that we will find Giulia and Stefania".
