The Wartenberg market has signposted new hiking trails and now summarized them on a map.

In cooperation with the "Wittelsbacher Jagdhaus" association, five paths and two themed routes have been created.

Wartenberg – paths in and around Wartenberg are shown on a new hiking map that Mayor Christian Pröbst has now presented to the press.

There are five "normal" hiking trails and two special ones that are not only shown on the map, but also lovingly signposted.

The building yard received extra praise from the mayor for putting up the signs and posts.

The circular hiking trails are between six and 13 kilometers long.

Leo Lindner has done a great job here, because he thought about the routes and then explored them.

Mayor Pröbst also named Willi Adelsberger as a member of the team, as well as Elisabeth Neumeier, Norbert Hartmann and Heike Kronseder.

The latter two represented the association "Wittelsbacher Jagdhaus", which developed one of the two themed hiking trails, the "Wittelsbacher hiking trail".

The association sponsored seven panels along this path, which starts at the town hall, and thus made a special contribution.

A lot of money was spent on this, because a graphic artist was hired to design the Wittelsbach signs.

The second themed route deals with the churches in the market area and the surrounding area.

This hiking trail was also created in cooperation with the “Wittelsbacher Jagdhaus” association.

The Gerstner company, which designed and printed the cards, also deserves credit.

The circular hiking trails all have names.

The longest tour is the panorama trail at 13 kilometers and a pure walking time of four hours.

The "Through Long Wood" path, on the other hand, also opens up the area behind Auerbach to Riding, in order to lead back from there along the state road to Wartenberg.

The "Mooswanderweg", which runs along behind Fendsbach, is completely different in terms of landscape.

Thenner See and Ski-Schanze are other destinations for shorter hikes.

The maps with the new hiking routes should be available from the municipality and laid out in restaurants.

However, the mayor still wanted to make an urgent appeal: hikers should please stay on the paths and not disturb the game.

And then – actually a matter of course – everyone should also take their rubbish with them.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Erding newsletter.)
