Solution for the Dorfener Park chaos not yet in sight

Because of the B15 bridge construction site, the situation on the folk festival car park is aggravated.
Now the building committee wants to tackle the redesign from 2023.
The people of Dorfen also have to wait for a new pavement in front of the town hall.

– The overloaded fairground parking lot and the holey pavement in front of the town hall are issues that some Dorfeners are slowly losing patience with.
However, solutions in the course of this year are not in sight - this became clear at the meeting of the construction and transport committee on Wednesday.
After a debate that was emotional at times, the committee passed a resolution recommending that the process be accelerated at the Volksfestplatz.
The reason for this was an application by the land list faction to commission planning for the area.
"There is a shambles at the Volksfest parking lot, and there are fewer and fewer parking spaces in the city center," argued LDW Councilor Martin Heilmeier in the application.
The area had to be clear and the way to the old town attractive.
Mayor Heinz Grundner (CSU) expressed his incomprehension about this initiative.
"In 2022 we can't also rebuild there," he said with regard to the ongoing construction site for the demolition and new construction of the B 15 Isenbrücke next door.

In addition, the city council had already passed a unanimous decision.
According to this, the redesign is to be registered with the government of Upper Bavaria in 2025, from which grants can then be expected.
Half a million euros are planned for 2025 in the financial plan.
Building authority manager Franz Wandinger warned against deviating from this schedule and commissioning planning outside of this process.
"Otherwise we'll lose all funding," he said.
Motorhomes are no longer allowed to park on the site anyway, added the head of the building authority.
There are also residents “who live south of the Isen and have to go north to work, for example”.
They would currently park their vehicles there.
Heilmeier reacted angrily to the mayor's statements.
The motion does not aim to be implemented in the current year.
Nevertheless, the city must go into the planning phase as early as possible.
"The parking problem is getting worse and worse," he said.
There has been agreement on the topic in the city council for many years, "but it is always pushed back".
In the end, the committee passed a recommendation resolution to the city council to bring forward the application for the transformation to the government to 2023.
The city council will then discuss it in the fall.
The mogul slope in front of the town hall will also be repaired in 2024 at the earliest.
The town hall square is part of the state road 2086, which runs through the city center.
After the city council recently rejected the assumption of the traffic route in municipal sponsorship, the state building authority decides on renovations.
The authority has now contacted the city and asked for an opinion on the execution of the road.
The unanimous wish of the building committee: "as before in cobblestones and the crossing areas in a ground or milled design".
The committee rejected a possible asphalting because of the cityscape.
"The execution of the cobblestones is not good", Andreas Hartl (GAL) criticized the current situation.
The city demonstrated at the lower market how such a surface must be constructed so that it lasts.
Heilmeier pushed the pace again.
"The road has been bad for five to six years," he complained.
Because of the planning process, this year's major construction site and the anniversary year 2023, this measure cannot be implemented immediately, Grundner replied.
His conclusion: "Our desired date is 2024."
