Homs-Sana
The Syrian Scientific Society for Informatics has provided seven of its branches in the governorates, including Homs, with advanced computer laboratories. Each laboratory includes ten computers (laptops), a smart screen, and a network printer.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Syrian Scientific Society for Informatics, Eng. Hassan Al-Najjar, explained in a statement to SANA reporter that this step comes within the framework of the Society’s Board of Directors’ endeavor to modernize the training, rehabilitation and human development mechanism in the various branches of the Society in the governorates by providing them with the latest laboratory and computer equipment to keep pace with the latest technologies and programs and implement various Training workshops for all age groups, pointing out that during the coming period, laboratories and a number of the association's branches will be equipped with solar energy to deliver electrical energy around the clock and reduce the burdens involved in securing it from generators that run on fuel.
Al-Najjar explained that the association continues to spread the information culture and develop its tools in line with the government’s strategy in announcing the digital transformation process, and considering that the association is a key strategic partner in the digital transformation process, which is being worked on in coordination and cooperation with a number of ministries and authorities to achieve comprehensive development.
The Syrian Scientific Society for Informatics was established in Syria in 1989 and it began to spread in the governorates after the year 2000 through the creation of branches for it, and each branch has an administrative committee that implements the work strategy of the Society's Board of Directors.
