The Israeli occupation continues to expand settlement operations in the occupied Palestinian territories to implement colonial annexation plans with the complicity of the American administration, which provides it with cover and protection from accountability for its continuous violations of international law and resolutions of international legitimacy.

The National Bureau for Defending Land and Resisting Settlements of the Palestine Liberation Organization stated in a report today published on its website that the latest settlement plan announced by the occupation to establish 4,000 settlement units on West Bank lands came after consulting with the US administration, according to what the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth revealed, which indicated Also, that the occupation had intended to announce the establishment of six thousand settlement units, but after consultations, the number was reduced to 4 thousand, as if the aggression and the war crime represented by the Israeli settlements were a commodity that could be bargained and argued over and made legitimate and legal if their number was reduced in a shameful American denial of international law and legitimacy decisions At the forefront of which is Security Council Resolution 2334 of 2016, which affirms the illegality of settlements and calls for its cessation.

The report pointed out that the occupation authorities announced a plan to expand a settlement established on the lands of the towns of Lifta al-Fouqa and Deir Yassin in the occupied city of Jerusalem, and another plan to establish 1934 new settlement units to expand two settlements established on the land of Mount Scopus and the towns of Sur Baher and Tuba in Jerusalem, in addition to plans to establish railways and settlement roads linking Between the settlements established west of occupied Jerusalem and those established east.

He pointed out that the occupation forces built a settlement road east of Wadi Fukin village in Bethlehem and placed barbed wires on both sides of the road to prevent Palestinians from passing through it. They also bulldozed 22 dunums of land between the towns of Jabaa and Surif in the city to link two settlements built on their lands.

The report stated that the occupation demolished a commercial facility in the town of Jabal Mukaber, a residential building in the town of Silwan, two houses in the towns of al-Isawiya and Beit Hanina in occupied Jerusalem, and several homes and agricultural facilities in the villages of al-Fakhit in Hebron and Khirbet Ainun in Tubas and Beit Dajan in Nablus, while it delivered demolition notices on several homes and agricultural facilities in the area Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron.

The report indicated that the settlers continue their attacks on the cities and towns of the West Bank under the protection of the occupation forces, as they stormed the town of Silwan and the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem, and the towns of Burin, Duma, Burqa, Furush, Beit Dajan and Beita in Nablus, and attacked Palestinians and their property, while they cut down 20 olive trees and burned a garage in the town of Beit Ummar in Hebron and uprooted dozens

of fruitful trees from the lands of the towns of Khirbet Susiya and Kafr ad-Dik in Salfit. They also razed areas of the lands of the Khirbet Al-Farsieh area in the northern Jordan Valley.
