Today, the Directorate of Education in Aleppo held the English-language theatrical performance “Alice” on the stage of the Artists Syndicate, which was presented by a group of students of Al-Basel Mixed High School for outstanding students.
The head of the School Theater Department in Aleppo Education, Fares Al-Naqour, explained in a statement to SANA reporter that the show talks about bullying and the importance of staying away from it and raising awareness of its dangers to the young generation and how to enhance self-confidence to avoid it, noting the importance of presenting the show in English to highlight the artistic talents that students possess in communicating their idea to the public.
The author and director of the work, Lama Faisal, indicated that the work deals with a segment of students who suffer from a lack of self-confidence due to certain factors and the mechanism of investing weakness factors by some, noting that the students relied in their presentation on physical suggestions and the level of voice during situations of anger and sadness.
Actor Hassan Faisal pointed to the importance of empowering students' representative abilities, preparing them and upgrading their artistic talents to be on one level, noting the importance of attracting students to the theater in light of their involvement with technology and communications.
Student Tim Baghdadi expressed his happiness in participating in the theatrical performance, especially as it enhanced his artistic talent, while student Lynn Sheikho considered that her participation in the work contributed to her gaining new skills in the English language in addition to promoting her acting hobby.
