The works of the participants in the art exhibition, which included different generations and was organized by the Institute of Folk Culture in Salhiya, varied between different plastic schools, multiple styles and various topics.

The exhibition, which was hosted by the Arab Cultural Center in Abu Rummaneh, narrates the ideas of the young artists and young women participating in it, and the emotions and feelings that go on in their hearts, so that the corridors and walls of the center are adorned with 37 oil paintings, acrylics and works of Arabic calligraphy.

The old neighborhoods of Damascus were the most prominent title of the works of the plastic artist Ali Al-Saeedi, where he explained in a statement to SANA reporter that he participated in 4 paintings of different sizes, one of them embodied the silent nature, while the other paintings embodied the Damascene heritage from the Arab house to the old neighborhoods in a different style and a visual vision that enriches the eye of the recipient using acrylic technology and oil colours.

Plastic artist Roshan Ksaibatti participated in 6 oil paintings focusing on female feelings of sadness and hope, using oil colors, considering that the participation of great artists in this exhibition is an added value for the participants and gives them confidence in performance and work experience.

The student of the Faculty of Information, Raneem Qubaitari, participated in two oil paintings, the first of which is a portrait that expresses the female and her ability to prove her presence in society, while the second is drawn from the works of the Spanish artist Picasso.

The young woman, Mervat Al-Rifai, participated in a painting from the cubist school that was unique to Picasso, entitled “Harets” using oil colors, indicating that she prefers the expressive school and focuses in her work on women and their feelings.

The exhibition supervisor, the plastic artist, Raghda Saeed, indicated that the exhibition was distinguished by the female imprint that showed the feelings of the participating artists, pointing out that the participants are old graduates of the institute who added great artistic value and experience to the male and female students.

Naima Suleiman, Director of Culture in Damascus, said that the methods of the artists participating in the exhibition indicate their development and their unique talents in terms of using techniques and the diversity of schools.

In turn, the cultural director of Abu Rummaneh Rabab Ahmed praised the young talents, despite the different levels between them, indicating that this exhibition is the product of the work of the students of the institute, and it is an important opportunity to acquire a visual culture, and it is the beginning of training for everyone who wants to engage in fine art.

Samah Ezzo, director of the Institute of Popular Culture, confirmed that the institute's main objective is to support young energies and help them enter the fray of artistic life, with a focus on the artistic side, which includes drawing, music, Arabic calligraphy and crochet.
