The reactions to Andreas Gabalier's appearance on the ZDF television garden could not have been more different.

The reactions to Andreas Gabalier's appearance on the ZDF television garden could not have been more opposite.

While the live audience celebrates properly on site and even Andrea Kiewel jumps barefoot across the stage, the internet insults the hit star properly.

Mainz – The motto of the second edition of this year's ZDF television garden was: ESC and Italy.

As usual, the guest list is top-class: Stefano Zarrella, Johnny Logan and Andreas Gabalier were on stage.

The VolksRock'n'Roller put everyone in a good mood - at least for the live audience.

Things were very different online.

As soon as the announcement was made, the audience in the ZDF television garden totally freaked out, cheering and clapping like crazy.

When Andreas Gabalier then sings the first notes of his new single "A New Beginning", the audience couldn't hold back.

The entire television garden is dancing.

And a similar picture with the encore: there are standing ovations for Andreas Gabalier and Andrea Kiewel dances barefoot through the ZDF television garden.

Here it becomes clear: his fans missed him!

The situation on the internet is different.

Here the Fernsehgarten viewers literally thunder against Andreas Gabalier.

For a number of years, the hit star has been working on no longer being associated with words like "right-wing", "homophobic" or "misogynistic" - but the Internet never forgets.

And so you can read comments on Twitter like "Wonderful that the right Ösi Gabalier has to appear in front of the Italian flag", "Gabalier - does that really have to be?" Or "The Schurbel-Andi?

It's absolutely not possible".

Andreas Gabalier appears on ZDF television, but the network does not think very much of the hit star from Styria, as these comments show.
