In the shadow of the ongoing attack by the Hadid family, which is flooding the network with scathing and inciting reports against Israel, Oscar-winning British actress Kate Winslet is drawing fire in her direction after taking part in a pro-Palestinian documentary.
This is the documentary about Operation The Wall Guard, dubbed "11 Days in May" and directed by British director Michael Winterbottom and director of Palestinian descent Muhammad Swaff (linked to Hamas and accusing Israel of morning news of colonialism and apartheid).
Winslet takes part in the narration, with the text she recites saturated with lies and distorted data and comes out clearly against Israel, while presenting a distorted picture of what is really happening during the operation.
The original text dramatically describes and shakes the deaths of 67 children from shelling by the Israeli army.
Winslet's participation in the film surprisingly aroused much anger among Jewish elements around the world, and to calm things down and provide an explanation, Winslet referred to her part in an interview with the Jewish News website last week, insisting that the information about the film was partial and misleading. She has all malicious intentions.
"Michael (the director of the film with whom she previously worked; A.H.) invited me to announce the documentary he worked on with the support of UNICEF and Oxfam on the consequences of fighting on children, in this case Palestinian children," she said of the appeal to her.
"I have trusted Michael for over 25 years so I believed in him that the end product would be in line with the revered values of these organizations. The decision that way seemed to be simple," she said.
"I have not spoken to anyone else who took part in the project," Winslet clarified.
"I have been supporting UNICEF and Oxfem's activities to protect innocent children for decades, so I offered my services without any request for monetary compensation - and instead asked for a donation to Oxfam. The world did not cross my mind, "she emphasized.
"War is a tragedy for all parties. Children have no voice in conflict and all I wanted to do was give them mine."
