At the UBI annual meeting it became public that Josef Mock will not end his term of office.
He resigns - in favor of Laura Pauli.
Icking
– The biggest surprise came at the end of the UBI general meeting on Wednesday.
After almost three hours of reports and new board elections as well as wordy farewells to the outgoing chairmen, the new UBI board member Stefan Schneider revealed the secret: Josef Mock from Dorfen, a long-standing municipal councillor, resigned.
According to Schneider, he had already submitted his resignation letter to Mayor Verena Reithmann.
This will be voted on at the next municipal council meeting on May 23rd.

Schneider found heartfelt words of appreciation for the retiring local politician who, as a founding member of the UBI in July 2005 (formerly UBL), had served the community for 26 years.
"I want to say thank you for your decades of loyalty.
You were always involved in what was happening locally.
Also superordinate across the party.”

UBI boss Schneider emphasized that the Dorfen electrician had already said before the election in March 2020 that he might not want to stay on the committee until the end of the election period.
He had therefore deliberately allowed himself to be put far down on the list for the local elections - and was brought back to the council by the voters.
It is understandable and okay if he now decides: "Now it's good".
When asked, the 64-year-old Mock said he "really enjoyed doing it all these years, but now I realize that it has become more strenuous for me".
It's time to free up the space.

As a successor, the versatile Laura Pauli is already in the starting blocks.
The 25-year-old master's student (social change) previously studied sociology and communication science, lives in Walchstadt and works in her limited free time as a waitress and yoga teacher.
With her, the UBI actually achieves the announced rejuvenation of the group, which has only happened marginally with the new board.
