Pliening – An 85-year-old cyclist from Finsing (Erding district) who wanted to cross Landshuter Straße in Pliening on Saturday afternoon was not paying attention.
As reported by the police, the man drove from the bike path onto Landshuter Straße at around 2:45 p.m. on the corner of Rämplstraße.
"Basically, he should have waited and given priority to the flowing traffic," says the press report from the Poing Police Inspectorate.
According to the current state of knowledge, however, he did not do this and overlooked the approaching cars.
