An unusual confrontation was registered between Knesset representatives and the UN Secretariat over an exhibition that the Knesset is expected to present at the UN headquarters this coming Thursday.
For the first time in history, an exhibition on behalf of the Knesset will be held at the UN headquarters, which is located in New York. The exhibition includes 35 photos showing historical events in the Knesset and a look at the legislation there over the years.
The exhibition was preceded by an unusual confrontation during which the UN Secretariat announced that it would not allow the presentation of photos and captions depicting Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and the annexation of the Golan Heights. Israel opposed the removal

Hundreds of ambassadors from around the world, heads of Jewish organizations and government representatives were invited to the event.
The Knesset was represented by the Chairman of the Constitution, Law and Justice Committee, MK Gilad Karib (Labor), MK Ofir Akunis (Likud), MK Inbar Bezeq (Yesh Atid) and Knesset Director General Gil Segal.
