Wackersberg is in good financial shape.

This emerged from the budget report that Mayor and Treasurer Jan Göhzold presented to the municipal councils at the most recent meeting.

Wackersberg – The municipality of Wackersberg still does not have to worry about its finances.

There have been numerous major investments in recent years.

However, these could mainly be made from current income, as can be seen from the budget report, which Mayor and Treasurer Jan Göhzold presented at the municipal council meeting.

Financially, Wackersberg is still in very good shape

The reserves could be increased to around seven million euros.

"We are still in a very good position." Göhzold called the course of income tax and key allocations in relation to the district levy a "nice development" - "but this is also increasing," he pointed out.

The major projects for the drinking water network in Oberfischbach, the local model in Waxensteinstrasse, the multi-generation house and the construction of the gymnasium have been completed, as Göhzold explained.

Larger projects are planned for the community in the coming years

In the coming years, however, the municipality must be prepared for larger investments.

Around four million euros are earmarked for the construction of the building yard in 2023 and 2024.

Wackersberg will also have to prepare for the construction of a new building for childcare.

Because both kindergartens are fully booked.

However, the plans for this are not yet concrete.

The most important income from the administrative budget this year includes the grants for the kindergartens (480,000 euros), rents and leases (630,000 euros), the municipal share of income tax (2.3 million euros) and the key allocations (1.15 million Euro).

On the other hand, 1.91 million euros is spent on the district levy this year.

Personnel costs add up to almost 1.7 million euros in the budget.

For the sale of the asylum containers at the stone saw as well as subsidies for the construction of the crèche and playground, the municipality calculates 241,000 euros in income this year.

The broadband expansion is funded with 276,000 euros.

For the multi-generation house in Oberfischbach, the community can count on an investment subsidy of 1.17 million euros.

Councils unanimously in favor of proposed budget

Investments this year are in the new vehicle for the Wackersberg fire brigade (225,000 euros).

In addition, road construction work is being carried out in Oberfischbach, at the school and on Kalkofenstraße (700,000 euros).

A total of 480,000 euros is planned for flood protection at Bibermühle, Seestahlbach and Arzbach.

About one million euros are spent on property purchases.

The municipal councils agreed with the presented budget for 2022 and ultimately voted in favor of it.
