Significant price increases were recorded in fresh vegetable items, which increased by 5.5%, clothing, which increased by 2.8%, transportation, which increased by 2.3%, and culture and entertainment, which increased by 1.5%.
Significant price declines were recorded in the communications item, which fell by 1.2%.
The national average price of rent in the first quarter of 2022 was NIS 4,153.6.
In the previous quarter, the average price was NIS 4,112.6.
Price index of residential construction inputs
The price index of residential construction inputs increased by 1.0% in April 2022. In the last twelve months (April 2022 compared with April 2021), the price index of residential construction inputs increased by 6.8%
Significant price increases were recorded in the item "Materials and products - total" which increased by 2.0%.
It should be noted that in this section, finished products made of aluminum and plastic, which increased by 12.3%, sealing, which increased by 11.1%, and construction iron, which increased by 4.1%, became particularly expensive.
Real estate prices soared

Change in housing market prices (not part of the consumer price index)
Comparing the prices of transactions made in February 2022 - March 2022 compared to the prices of transactions made in January 2022 - February 2022, it was found that housing prices increased by 1.9% and thus completed an increase of 16.3% compared to the same period Last year (February 2021 - March 2021).
In the segmentation of changes in apartment prices by district in February 2022 - March 2022 compared with January 2022 - February 2022, price increases were recorded in all districts: North 2.9%, Central 2.4%, Haifa 1.8%, Tel Aviv 1.5%, Jerusalem 1.3% and South 1.2%.

The national average price of a transaction for the purchase of an apartment in the first quarter of 2022 was NIS 1,756.8 thousand.
