Blinded by the low sun, a Mercedes driver rushed into a Peugeot at the roundabout in Irschenberg.

The property damage is around 17,000 euros.

Irschenberg - A total of 17,000 euros in property damage was caused by an accident at the roundabout in Irschenberg.

A 48-year-old woman from Bad Aibling crashed into a Peugeot on Saturday evening, May 14, around 7:40 p.m.

According to the police, the low sun is partly responsible

As reported by the Miesbach police, the woman from Aibling drove on the A8 coming from Rosenheim and left the motorway at the Irschenberg junction.

"She drove towards the roundabout and was blinded by the low sun," the police report said.

“A 79-year-old Irschenberger drove in the roundabout, who came from Miesbach and drove through the roundabout towards the center of Irschenberg.

The woman from Aibling overlooked Irschenberger and smashed the left front of her Mercedes into the rear right side of Irschenberger's Peugeot," the officials write.

Commander was at dinner: "The operation practically took him off the plate"

Material damage to the Mercedes amounted to 7,000 euros.

Damage to the Peugeot was around 10,000 euros.

The driver from Bad Aibling was reported for violating the right of way.

The Irschenberg fire brigade was alerted to bind leaking coolant.

"It is not known whether the commander of the Irschenberg fire brigade was able to eat his schnitzel while it was still warm," joked the police.

"The mission practically took him off the plate."
