Boycott of the coalition's initiatives in the face of concern for soldiers
: MK Yoav Kish is negotiating with the coalition for support for the "Uniforms for Education" law, which is expected to go up in the Knesset plenum tomorrow.
For Kish and his party (the Likud), the law, which will subsidize combat salaries for combat soldiers after their release, creates a dilemma.
On the one hand, the opposition understands the importance of the law for the fighters and even wants to improve the bill so that the soldiers get more funding, but on the other hand, they want to create a mess in the coalition with the defense minister and prevent the government from functioning properly.
The coalition failed to raise and pass the law last week due to the absence of RAAM who even now is not sure it would agree to support the law.

To try to appease the opposition, the government has recently moved to a policy of supporting its own laws and affairs.
This morning, the Ministerial Committee on Legislation approved six opposition bills, four of them Likud and two of Torah Judaism.
Meanwhile, after a long delay, the chairman of the Knesset committee, Nir Orbach, put on the agenda of the committee tomorrow the laws of the opposition, such as the overcoming ruling and the repeal of the disengagement law.
This is a discussion setting and not beyond that but it is an interesting signal.
Government officials say the laws are long overdue for discussion but will not be promoted by the coalition.
