Lead candidate Thomas Kutschaty has admitted that the SPD has missed its election goal of becoming the strongest party in the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia.
“We wanted to be the strongest party.
We didn't succeed," said Kuchaty on Sunday evening.
Unfortunately, the result is not as high as the NRW-SPD had imagined.
But the goal of the black-yellow coalition no longer having a majority has been achieved.
Düsseldorf – Kutschaty congratulated the CDU and the Greens on their expected gains.
