After Ahmad Tibi helped the suspect to be released from police custody in the field, and Ofer Kasif hit the head of a police officer - a Likud MK suggests a way to deal with the phenomenon • "No action was taken against them by law enforcement"

Member of Knesset Ophir Katz today (Sunday) submitted an urgent proposal for the Knesset's agenda: harming, inciting and rebellion of Knesset members against the security forces of the State of Israel.

In submitting this proposal, the Likud MK refers, among other things, to MK Ahmad Tibi, who caused the suspect to be released from the arms of the police officers who arrested him on the ground, as well as to MK Ofer Kasif who hit a police officer in the head.

"In recent weeks, we have repeatedly witnessed Knesset members violating the law, attacking, inciting and rebelling against the Israeli security forces," read the explanatory memorandum to the proposal.

"About a month ago, MK Ayman Odeh uploaded a video in which he said:" It is a shame that one of our sons will join the security forces of the occupation, throw the weapon in their face. "Last Wednesday, members of the joint list of IDF soldiers called murderers. Ahmad Tibi interfered with a police officer on duty and helped stop the escape after he was suspected of throwing an object. And hit him in the head, "it read.

Interrupted the policeman.

The explanation for the proposal was further stated: "Despite all these serious incidents, which constitute clear violations of the law, and despite repeated appeals to the Spokesman and the State Attorney to open investigations against these MKs, which directly harm the security forces, incite, rebel, and set the area on fire. "In such a sensitive security period, no action has been taken against them by law enforcement agencies.

Therefore, I would like to raise the issue on the Knesset's agenda as a matter of urgency."
