Almost all genres of music could be heard at live concerts in Poing on Saturday.

First on an open-air stage in the ARGE car park, in the evening in a school auditorium.

Poing – Saturday was a big music day in Poing: first there was an open-air event in the ARGE car park on Bergfeldstrasse (opposite Edeka Pfeilstetter) entitled “Poing can do something!” in aid of Ukraine Aid, in the evening the youth band Gelting-Poing and the Musikkapelle Poing is giving a full live concert for the first time after more than two years of a corona-related break.

At the open air at the parking lot of the consortium of property developers and investors (ARGE) in Bergfeld, pupils from the Vaterstetten music school played at noon.

When they had finished their performances after a good hour, it was pretty empty on the square - a pity for the musicians of the Poinger Music-Treff association, who performed from 2 to 5 p.m.

Because the event was for a good cause, Music-Treff chairman Thomas Schuh and his colleagues did not allow themselves to be discouraged - the listeners who came enjoyed themselves.

In the break between the music school and the music meeting, Lisa Demmer from the Poinger Verein OstEuropaHilfe reported on their work and support for the Ukraine and for refugees who are accommodated in Poing.

"Hits in May" was the motto that evening in the auditorium of the Anni Pickert School, where the Poing Music Band (under the direction of Angela Ebmeyer) was finally able to play a concert again.

In the opening act: the youth band Gelting-Poing with conductor Christine Westermair.

The auditorium was very well filled, the desire for good brass band music from local areas seems to be great.
