Nechayev: Right-minded politicians in Germany understand that Russia will not be defeated

BERLIN, SANA- Russian Ambassador to Germany Sergey Nechayev said that right-minded German politicians realize

Russia's ambassador to Germany, Sergei Nechaev, said that German politicians of good conscience are fully aware that it is not possible to isolate or defeat Russia.

"The section with the right vision and clear thinking of the German political establishment knows that Russia can never be defeated as they wish, and we cannot be isolated politically," Nechayev added, according to what was reported by the TASS news agency, during an interview with the Russian TV channel Solovyev Live. Some German politicians in favor of the fastest embargo on Russian oil, gas and coal are backed by "internal political motives or to meet the needs of the Anglo-Saxon mainstream".

The ambassador added that the Germans realize that if the gas stops, everything will become more expensive, and the prices of gas, basic commodities and foodstuffs will also rise significantly, and the German people certainly do not want that.

He added that the (North Stream 2) pipeline project will be revived at some point, and that the project has been fully completed technically, and the pipeline can start working immediately to deliver gas to Germany's infrastructure.

In addition, the Russian official pointed out that the Russian embassy in Germany is recording a significant decrease in complaints of discrimination against the Russian-speaking population, saying: "We have been and are still noticing a significant decrease in such appeals... We proceed from the fact that we may have achieved some effect."

It is noteworthy that in early March, the ambassador indicated that the Russian embassy was recording hundreds of appeals from Russians regarding discrimination against the Russian-speaking population by law enforcement authorities and the German Foreign Ministry.
