Noam Raz, an IDF fighter killed in an operation near Jenin, is laid to rest
Raz, 47, was found dead in an operation to detain a wanted man who was barricaded in his home.
He lived in Kida and left behind his wife Efrat and six children.
This morning, Raz's family, who will be buried on Mount Herzl, decided to donate his organs.
His corneas will be transplanted in patients awaiting transplant at Rambam Hospital

IDF fighter Noam Raz, who was killed last week in an exchange of gunfire near Jenin, is being laid to rest on Mount Herzl today (Sunday).
Prime Minister Naftali Bennett paid tribute to Raz at the beginning of the cabinet meeting. Years, during which he participated in many actions to protect the security of Israeli citizens.
Noam was a lover of Israel and a hero of Israel.

Raz was injured in an operation by IDF forces, the GSS and the YMCA, which surrounded a building where he was wanted, in order to prevent a terrorist attack that was expected to take place.
A helicopter was launched to the scene and he was taken to the hospital - where he was later pronounced dead.
At the end of hours of exchange of fire, the security forces arrested the terrorist who was fortified in his house.
This morning, Raz's family decided to donate his organs, the National Transplant Center said.

Police Commissioner Kobi Shabtai also paid tribute to Raz and said that he was a devoted husband, an exemplary father and one of the best fighters in the police. "We bow our heads in memory of Noam Raz who fell in an exchange of fire with terrorists," he said. Sen. S., who was seriously wounded by gunfire in an encounter with a YMCA force with terrorists near Jenin.
Heroism and values were inherent in his character and his operational activity in the YMCA.
Homeland Security Minister Amar Bar-Lev said Raz went out to fight with courage and dedication.
"Just as it happened this morning, we will continue to pursue with determination and vigor the terrorists who demand our evil everywhere and at all times. We will not allow them a single moment of rest, and place their hand on them, alive or dead," he added.
