The Lebanese Interior: The turnout in the parliamentary elections exceeds 14 percent as of this afternoon

Beirut, SANA- The Lebanese Ministry of Interior announced that the voter turnout in the parliamentary elections reached 14.6 percent

The Lebanese Ministry of Interior announced that the voter turnout in the parliamentary elections amounted to 14.6 percent as of this afternoon.

According to the ministry, the lowest voter turnout was in Beirut I constituency at 9.78 percent, while it was the highest in Mount Lebanon II at 18.28 percent.

In addition, President Michel Aoun cast his vote in the elections, calling on the Lebanese to participate in them and cast their votes, because “a citizen cannot be impartial in a fundamental issue related to choosing the regime.”

Voting began this morning in all Lebanese governorates for the parliamentary elections.
