The National Association of Students goes out this morning (Sunday) against the Committee of University Principals and demands that Ariel University be included as a member of the Committee of University Principals, following what they call "continuous harm to the student public in Ariel."
According to the student union, for more than a decade, the Committee of Heads of Universities of Ariel University has been blatantly boycotting the tens of thousands of male and female students studying there.

This is a campaign by the National Association of Students in collaboration with the Ariel Student Association to introduce Ariel University to the Committee of University Heads, after it was not answered by the committee members in an official request made on the subject and past inquiries.
The Rabbi, the Committee of University Heads, is a voluntary body established by the heads of Israel's research universities. It now has only eight academic institutions (the Open University as an observer) - with Ariel University in Samaria left out. From the student body and in the past he opposed many moves both concerning Ariel University and during the Corona - then Nahal was defeated and most of the tests went online.
Over the years, Ariel University has demanded that it be included as a full member of the University Council, but the US Student Union has not responded to these requests. The Chairman of the National Association of Students, Elhanan Fleheimer.

"Ariel University receives a cold shoulder and an unjustified boycott both of the institution and of its students - an action that in our eyes is not justified at all and even strengthens anti-Israel organizations such as the BDS movement, which work to promote a fundamentally wrong academic boycott."

Ariel University was established in 1982 as a college and in 2012 - more than a decade ago - was recognized and declared a full-fledged university by the Council for Higher Education.
Currently, Ariel University has about 18,000 students, about 500 researchers and about 150 professors.
