The "Yesh in the Neighborhood" branch in Bnei Brak from Shufersal closed last week after employing a Palestinian worker who was in Israel without a permit.

The branch was closed by order of Superintendent Ami Eshed, commander of the Tel Aviv district, after police forces located the Palestinian who was employed there for about a week.

"There is a reasonable basis that the place will continue to be used to commit such an offense if its use is not immediately restricted," police said.

The closed branch is located on Jerusalem Street.

The worker was apprehended on Sunday, claiming to have worked at the branch for seven days.

He was employed by an outside contractor company, Generation 2000, which provides network cleaning services.

Following the incident, Shufersal terminated its contract with it.

The police investigation revealed that there is no orderly monitoring and control mechanism for the absorption of workers.

"Immediately upon receiving the order from the Israel Police, we acted with determination and speed and in accordance with all the provisions of the law," the Yesh network reported.

"These are cleaning workers employed through a contractor company and the issue will be investigated in depth with the company. In addition, the cleaning company was notified of the termination of its employment at the branch, immediately. We will meet all legal requirements and cooperate fully with the Israel Police.

" As a result of the employment of illegal residents, three businesses in Ramat Gan and Bnei Brak were closed last week by administrative order, after three illegal residents were discovered in them.

"The investigation materials show that the employers employed the suspects without conducting an examination regarding residence and work permits, sometimes even knowing that the employee is without permits, and in one case the employer even took care of the employee's detention," it was reported.

The Bnei Brak Municipality stated that "the municipal police clarify that in accordance with the directive of the mayor, Rabbi Avraham Rubinstein, Bnei Brak has a 'zero tolerance' policy on the subject, and that employers, drivers and militias in the IDF will take all enforcement measures in full severity.

In any case of suspicion of employment, Helena or you were staying illegally, the municipal hotline or the Israel Police should be notified immediately.

" The shooting campaign began on Bialik Street, continued to HaShanim Street and from there to Herzl Street, where the terrorist was shot dead.
