A peek into the world's haunted house (Inside The Ancient Ram Inn! - Vermilion Studios)

An expert on supernatural phenomena who, he said, visited the most popular haunted places in the world, claims to have found the haunted place he has encountered to date - the place also known by many as "the haunted house in the world".

Tony Ferguson, 37, is a part-time paranormal researcher who has visited places known to be haunted by ghosts with the intention of refuting (or confirming) the creepy stories about these sites.

He said he and his team remained "terrified to the depths of their souls" when they visited the ancient Ram Inn - known as the "Haunted House in the World" - and decided to leave the place earlier than expected because they simply could no longer survive the horror.

The expert from New Forest, Hampshire, recalled his visit to the ancient English inn located in the town of Watton Ender Edges in Gloucestershire, Humphreys, when he said he had come to the obvious conclusion that it was indeed the most haunted place he had ever visited.

Tony and his team from Ghost2Ghost say they could not explain the supernatural happenings they experienced that day.

Tony told the Daily Star: "I was very skeptical, but so many things happened there that I could not explain. I'm not usually scared like that during my interrogations, but this place was just creepy to death. Something was following us, something was floating above us. We could feel the presence. Always. "

He added: "There were so many knocking noises and we even heard a drag sound above us, but there was no one upstairs. In the living room area, our 'portal' - a device used to contact the spirits - uttered the word 'gin' which is in Arabic ' Wind or demon while an obscure fog floated over our heads. At one point the room got dark and we could clearly hear the words 'Get out of here' in a man's voice - but we were the only men in the house. The scariest moment was when I felt something around my neck. "But I felt suffocated. We left the place very quickly because we could not stand it anymore. It is one of the most haunted places in Britain if not in the whole world, without a doubt."

The ancient Ram Inn located in the south west of England has become a tourist attraction due to its reputation, when it was reportedly built on ancient pagan burial ground.

Caroline Humphries, now 60, owns the inn, and she told nypost that her parents bought the 1,000-year-old property to turn it into a guest house - and moved in in 1968, when she was only 8. Over the years, family members have discovered they are not the only ones Who live there.

"A caller told my father that there were children buried everywhere and when he dug he found the bones and daggers buried with them, suggesting killing a victim," she told Jam Press.

"An archeological report on the daggers failed to date them, but it is an ancient thing.

"Unfortunately, the daggers that have since been found in a glass display case were stolen in 2014 while my father was present with a group of visitors at the house."

Other bizarre finds included a 500-year-old mummified cat inside a wall, which Humphries said she thought was used to ward off witches.

Thanks to the whitewashing of the Cotswold stone walls, the cat has been preserved for centuries and is in good condition upon its discovery, according to conservationists at the nearby Stroud Museum.

Recently, Humphries' partner, Mick, found additional bones including jaw bones, a skull, a spine and a thigh, located under the stairs in a room on the ground floor.

The inn is next to a church, built by Catholic slaves and monks who lived in the house.

Humphreys believes there are secret cellars and passageways that have yet to be located that connect the inn to the church.
