Students of the Syrian Scientific Olympiad won two bronze medals at the 2022 Mandeleev International Chemistry Olympiad, which concluded today in Uzbekistan, with the participation of 120 male and female students who represented 16 countries from around the world and competed during the period between “9 and 15” of this month in two theoretical and practical tests.
The Excellence and Creativity Commission stated in a statement that SANA received a copy of it today that the two students who won the medals are members of the National Team for the Syrian Scientific Olympiad for Chemistry Salman Iyad Al-Darwish from the third grade of secondary school at the First Outstanding School in Homs, and the student Ahmed Ghassan Ezz Al-Din from the third grade of secondary school from the National Center for Excellence.
The International Mandeleev Olympiad, which dates back to 56 years, is held annually in Moscow and this year in Uzbekistan. This Olympiad wins two medals and takes first place among the participating Arab countries.
