In the video: Mifal Hapayis' Ripples Project (Edited by Gilad Manheim)
IDF disabled people suffering from chronic pain have to deal with quite a few difficulties throughout their lives. Chronic pains, caused to them during military service.
"I came to the project as part of a Mifal Hapayis scholarship," says Adi Bitton, a law student at the University of Haifa.
"As part of the project, we created a TED lecture together with IDF disabled people, which includes the story of the injury and the rehabilitation process.
It is a privilege for me to do such a thing and to take part in such cooperation.
This project is very significant, and I think it is important and should be preserved in the years to come. "
"We did a workshop called Ripples, and I'm glad I was given the opportunity," said Ari, an IDF invalid who is taking part in the project. Feels it gave me a lot. In 1976 I was a regular soldier. I stepped on a mine and had my leg amputated on the spot. If I were in another life then I would graduate from the army, go to school and not be exposed to this world of all injuries and disabilities. As it is and not to refer to language. "
