The storm of the Equality Law:
In blue and white, they are answering Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked after he claimed this morning (Monday) that the right will veto if it goes up.
"Ayelet, we are not having fun. This is the life of Israeli citizens."
The chairman of the Blue and White faction, MK Eitan Ginzburg, replied to Sarah Shaked on the Twitter page, "Why, in fact, will all Israeli citizens not be equal before the law? What justification is there for this? I am sure you can agree to that as well. ".
Ayelet, we are not having fun.

"It's hard not to agree with that statement. And it doesn't matter which side of the political map one identifies with."
Ginzburg added, "We are perhaps one of the only democracies in the world where the principle of equality is not enshrined in law. And what does this mean? Does it actually mean that the majority can abolish or trample on the rights of minority groups in Israeli society?" "Preservation of Minority Rights".
Defense Minister Bnei Gantz and MK Ginzburg announced yesterday that they intend to re-introduce the Equality Law for a vote in the Ministerial Committee on Legislation. Last time the law was put to a vote, the right voted against it. As Nir Auerbach apparently opposes.
Shaked wrote this morning on her Twitter page: "Suggests that coalition members stop toying with the idea of making changes that are not agreed in the Basic Laws. This will not happen, exactly as stipulated in the coalition agreement. If required, the right will use the veto.
